SUMMARY
Research question:
Do management practices and agile tools
influence the level of the agility of organizations? Are management
practices or tools more important?
Methodology:
Representative survey (n=2,818) based on tele-
phone interviews with employees and managers in medium sized
and large enterprises in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Data
analysis is based on multiple linear regression models.
Practical implications:
Sustainable management practices are
more important than the implementation of agile tools. The
ability to adapt business strategy to a changing environment and
employee participation are especially important to achieve an agile
organisation.
