SUMMARY
Research question:
Can a structured online intervention improve
the mental models of virtual team members and does this im
prove team processes?
Methodology:
An online intervention with three steps (STROTA)
is tested systematically and experimentally on a sample of 121
virtual teams.
Practical implications:
STROTA is an intervention, which is easily
applicable to the practical context and underlines the importance of
mental models. Virtual teams, which have received STROTA, show
improved mental models and report less information overload.
