Umständen sogar förderlich. Denn kontroverse Standpunkte
können bei ausreichender Interaktion und gegenseitiger Per-
spektivübernahme durchaus zum Fortschritt beitragen. Das zu
behebende Problem stellt daher weniger die existierende Kluft
zwischen Wissenschaft und Praxis als ein Mangel an Überbrü-
ckungs- bzw. Integrationsmechanismen dar.
SUMMARY
Research question:
The research-practice gap in human resour-
ces is frequently criticized. In this light, we focus two questions:
How informed are human resource managers about the predictive
validity of personnel selection procedures? Are students superior
to human resource managers in this regard?
Methodology:
1049 students and 97 human resources managers
completed a 5-minute online survey.
Practical implications:
To bridge the gap between research and
practice in personnel selection, it is necessary to already consider
the training of the future decision-makers.
