rum, which will be situated in the heart
of the Palais this year. The MIPIM Inno-
vation Forum will house over 50 exhibi-
tors within 1,000 square meters including
a dedicated conference room. It will also
house the MIPIM Start-Up competition
finalists, so it is a not-to-be-missed area of
the event. InOctober of 2016, we launched
our first ever Prop Tech in New York City,
in partnership with Meta Prop Tech,
which was a great success and an event we
will repeat this year. This event has really
drawn international interest and has also
helped us to source new clients and par-
ticipants for MIPIM 2017 from the Prop
Tech industry.
Added value is an important argu-
ment also for visitors like investors
– new formats, networking &Co. as a
sample. Is there something new we
can look forward to?
MIPIM 2017 will
see new formats that will be showcased
in the conference program, including
predictive scenarios where an expert will
outline three possible futures around the
same topical issue. Attendees will be able
to vote at the beginning of the session.
There will also be masterclass, where a key
player from the property world or other
sector, will talk about their career and
share their experience and successes with
the audiences, as well as creative sessions
(by subscription only), which will enable
participants to learn about new techniques
for innovation and being coached on these
issues to think about their jobs differently.
How will you enable them?
I think that
a special mention must be made of our
matchmaking service at MIPIM, which is
entering its second year in action. MIPIM‘s
aim is to improve its client experience at
the show by helping participants find their
peers and potential partners. By declaring
their sectors and profiles of interests while
registering to the matchmaking service via
a short form, a tailored and personalized
list of recommended contacts for each re-
spondent is generated so they can organize
targeted meetings in Cannes through our
Online Database. More than a tool, these
lists of mutual “matches” are free add-
ed-value to succeed at MIPIM and are key
to optimizing time and generating qualified
leads. To keep the networking at its best,
we are also organizingmatchmaking events
onsite on dedicated segments: healthcare,
logistics or hotel & tourism. These high val-
ue, high energy facilitated sessions offer a
unique chance to make new connections
between operators, developers and inves-
tors on promising industries.

17,000 participants in 2010 to over
23,000 in 2016.

challenge as it involves
many aspects of the real
estate business, from
investment to the buil-

asset management.“
