OPENING REMARKS
Dear Readers of Immobilienwirtschaft,
The real estate industry faces great challenges all over Europe:
demographic change, digitalisation, urbanisation and climate
change will shape our cities and neighbourhoods. These
issues are connected with significant investments in the con-
struction of new housing as well as in the existing housing
stock. MIPIM 2017 encompasses these challenges with its title
“A New Deal for Real Estate”. One focus of the event is new
solutions and strategies in the real estate industry. The exhibi-
tions, workshops and networking events offer the opportunity
to exchange ideas and think about issues beyond and the
typical sectoral and national boundaries.
I would like to wish all of the MIPIM 2017 visitors and exhibitors
a successful event.
